The Lee-Jackson Benefit Tractor Ride was established in 2006 as a fundraising event, to be held annually, to benefit an area volunteer Fire & Rescue nonprofit organization.  Each year a different department is selected as host for our ride. The route of the ride is then established within the area around our host, therefore, giving us a different ride each year.

All proceeds go directly to our host and they pay all expenses.

The tractor ride gives an opportunity for people to come together and spend a day on their favorite tractor, while enjoying the beautiful countryside and visiting with other tractor enthusiast. Our rides are centered around Lexington Virginia, and the counties of Rockbridge, and Augusta, here in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley.

The name Lee-Jackson was select for our ride because of the rich civil war history surrounding our area.  After the war, General Robert E. Lee, commander of the Confederate Army, was once president of what is now Washington & Lee University, in Lexington.  Before the war, General Jonathan J. “Stonewall” Jackson was an instructor at the Virginia Military Institute, also in Lexington.  Both are buried here in Lexington with their families.  Many of the roads that we ride on were traveled by these two great generals.

I invite you to come and enjoy a day with us.
